Nov 1 Update

 I'm working on fixing up a bunch of bugs in ALAWT and I've been working on the colored portraits. I'm actually managing to get it looking decent so I can post it soon. I've also been working on the blood particle effect so that should get in soon. Edit: Failed the exam by just one step so I guess ALAWT development is still going to be slow. I have to wait a month before I can take it again and I have to study more.

March 31 Update - Optimizations

I added a script that would save all enemy positions and added interactable object support to my collider script (which was just looking for any object with Armature in the name and replacing it with the specific tscn file). I generalized how I was loading enemies as well. I took another dive into optimization and all I could find was it was almost all physics related. I'm already using Godot Jolt which gives a bit of improvement, and using spheres for enemy colliders. But the biggest factor was reducing the number physics steps per frame. I still have to test how this is going to affect the raycasts, but it was all move_and_slide's issue.  I also started modeling the gatherer. My thought processes on this one was it wouldn't make any noise, aside from dragging its sack since it has no mouth and it has copious numbers of eyestalks since its purpose is to find food but not for itself. in progress

Nov 11 Update

I could not update for a while, but I am back with a massive update. The map has been reworked to have less rooms so I could really focus on the few puzzles the first floor has. Most puzzles are finished except the last one. Tons of bugs fixed. User friendly stuff like ammo count has been added - this isn't a survival horror though it takes some influence from that genre. I got the chance to have some playtesters try out the game (thank you very much to them!) and have added some of their suggestions to the game - will be adding more if I have more time before the YuriJam deadline. Bugs that were found by the playtesters were also fixed. More environment models and another entity has been added. Bunch of flavor text for random objects so it feels a bit more like the classic rpgmaker horror games which I've always liked. May 4th update

 Working on a new female base model because I need to make customers for the bar and my old one had a bunch of issues.  I further expanded the item spawning system and added a shop system. Also added some nice to haves. Things are a bit slow since I'm busy with other life commitments, but still pushing through that and working a little here and there when I have the chance.
