Aug 30 Update

I'm still moving along but very slowly, I have to fix some bugs within the minigame as well as make more decorations/furniture sorts of things. I'm integrating a few suggestions that I got from people so I'm working on some animations that'll incorporate some of that. I've only been slow this year because I'm busy studying for an intensive cert. Things should go back to normal once I (hopefully) pass the exam.

March 31 Update - Optimizations

I added a script that would save all enemy positions and added interactable object support to my collider script (which was just looking for any object with Armature in the name and replacing it with the specific tscn file). I generalized how I was loading enemies as well. I took another dive into optimization and all I could find was it was almost all physics related. I'm already using Godot Jolt which gives a bit of improvement, and using spheres for enemy colliders. But the biggest factor was reducing the number physics steps per frame. I still have to test how this is going to affect the raycasts, but it was all move_and_slide's issue.  I also started modeling the gatherer. My thought processes on this one was it wouldn't make any noise, aside from dragging its sack since it has no mouth and it has copious numbers of eyestalks since its purpose is to find food but not for itself. in progress

Sept 7th Update

There's been a lot added. The entire floor is pretty much populated with basic environment set pieces at this point, though I need to tweak the layout for gameplay purposes. Lots of bugs fixed, first "cutscene" written, though I have to draw a few things for it. Sera has a new ability now when Lea uses a certain weapon on an enemy. I've also composed a few tracks. Cutscene track is about 70% there, I figured it didn't need to be too long. The Gourmet also has a track, and I've also got one for the title screen. I'm still missing some ambience ones for the general area though.  I've designed and modeled another enemy, but haven't textured or animated it yet.

May 4th update

 Working on a new female base model because I need to make customers for the bar and my old one had a bunch of issues.  I further expanded the item spawning system and added a shop system. Also added some nice to haves. Things are a bit slow since I'm busy with other life commitments, but still pushing through that and working a little here and there when I have the chance.
